Helen J. Crapsey, 79, of Norwalk, passed away on Thursday evening, May 16, 2013 in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.

She was born on October 7, 1933 in Fremont, Ohio to the late John and Naomi (Britenberg) Keegan. Helen graduated from Margaretta High School in 1952, worked for New Departure for 10 years, and was a homemaker.

Helen enjoyed traveling, especially to Tennessee, loved everything about country music, and collected family photos. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were everything to her.

Helen is survived by her children, Jamie Keegan, Susan Conry, Naomi (George) Biemler, all of Norwalk, and Billie (Geoff) Gresh, of Shelby; grandchildren, Nicholas, Jennifer, Brandy, and Christopher; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Schoen, of Republic, and Norma Jean Haer, of Castalia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Crapsey, in 2002; and daughter, Jacqueline, in 1985.

Private services will be held. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Helen's name to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, 11100 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling arrangements.
