My life journey started in a small town of Milan, Ohio. My father and mother were George and Augusta (Wirth) Drake and I had two brothers, Harold and Robert. They all preceded me in death.
I graduated from Milan High and received x-ray training at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
I am survived with love and pride by my son, Charles Woolf, a Vietnam War veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart; my granddaughter, Jessica Riedy; and great-grandson, Drake; nieces and nephews, cousins, childhood friends, golfing friends and my co-workers in the medical field who touched my life in many ways. I hope I have touched your life as much as you enriched mine.
My special 'love forever' to my husband Tom, who also survives me, together for 50 years. We have traveled the world by airplane, ship, motor home and auto. He always provided me with his love and a stable and comfortable life style, never any worries.
Eventually, whether we are ready or not, life comes to an end. There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, no days. Treasures that I collected will pass to someone else and my journey will end right back in Milan, Ohio, at my family cemetery plot."
Graveside services for Ruth will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at Milan Cemetery. She will be missed by all that knew her.
