 Susan M. Black, 72, of Nova, died Thursday at her home.

She was born Nov. 10, 1940 in Willard, daughter of the late, George & Lena (Echelbarger) Shirey.

Susan lived in Willard until moving to Nova in 1981. She graduated from Willard High School. She had worked as a press operator at MTD in Willard and retired as a State Tested Nursing Assistant after 15 years. She attended Maple Grove Church in Nankin, New Hope in Loudonville and Trinity Baptist in Nankin. Susan enjoyed, crocheting, gardening, reading the bible, going to church, bible study group and spending time with family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Gordon Zellner of Bellevue, Michael (Shannon) Zellner of Ashland, Sandy (Rick) Arcuri of Delphi, Lori (Pete) Ticel of Lakeworth, FL, Shari Dixson of Mansfield, Kathy Beasley of Millersburg and Annette (Allen) Bessex of Hopemills, NC; 24 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; and siblings, Gene "Larry" Shirey of Upper Sandusky and Joyce Anne Delury of Las Vegas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Black, a grandson, Joey and 4 brothers.

Friends may call 2-5 pm Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, where memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Monday. Pastor Jeff Cooper of New Hope Community Church, Loudonville will officiate. A private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, OH 44805.
