Florence left us to be with her Lord and Savior on April 14, 2013 after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She had previously resided at Elmwood Assisted Living in Fremont and lately at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont. Florence was 92 years young.

Florence was born April 1, 1921 in Gibsonburg, Ohio to Frederick A. & Sophie C. Schlea (Klausing). She attended school in Gibsonburg, Ohio and graduated from high school there in 1939.

Florence was a devoted homemaker, her home was always immaculate.

She loved music (especially country music), dancing, gardening, flowers, and baking. Florence always had on hand a great supply of cookies for her friends and family. She was a faithful Christian and attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Florence was preceded in passing by her parents, a stillborn son, Steven P. Hetrick, and her loving husband Paul L. Hetrick in 1998.

She is survived by her two sisters, Mildred Minich of Woodville, Ohio and Verna Lehmann of Paris, Kentucky; her three children Russel P. & Nancy A. (Wright) Hetrick of Norwalk, Ohio, Rhonda S. (Hetrick) & Rex A. Damschroder of Fremont, Ohio, and Tracy C. & Cheryl (Hunter) Hetrick of Milton, Vermont. Florence was honored to have five (5) grandsons; Ryan P. Hetrick of San Francisco, California, Alex and Lindsay (Cobb) Damschroder of Port Clinton, Ohio, Anthony Damschroder of Bowling Green, Ohio, Nathan and Joshua Hetrick of Milton, Vermont, together with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 9:30am - 11:30am at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont, with a funeral service following performed by Pastor Joseph Lees of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Burial will be at Lindsey Cemetery.

In lieu to flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, St. John's Lutheran Church, Fremont, Ohio; Parkinson's Foundation, Stein Hospice, or the charity of your choice.

Our family would like to express our thanks to Elmwood Assisted Living in Fremont, Bethesda Care Center of Fremont and Stein Hospice for the care and love they shared with our mother.
