WILLARD -- Lenn E. Miller, age 75, resident of Willard, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at his home.
He was born on April 7, 1937, son of the late Hess and Thelma (Bias) Miller, in Turtle Creek, West Virginia. He graduated from Scott High School in Madison, West Virginia in 1955 and also married his loving wife, Kathleen Copeland, in 1955.
Lenn moved to Willard, Ohio in 1963 when he accepted a job on the B&O Railroad. He was a conductor and retired from CSX in 1997.
Lenn was an avid fan of the West Virginia University football team.
After retirement, he enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also loved to cook fish for everyone. Lenn never met a person he did not like and could always strike up a conversation with any stranger.
Lenn is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Kathleen Miller; two children, David (Diane) Miller of Willard, and Cindy (Ron) Sokevitz of Plymouth; four grandchildren, Jacob and Taylor Miller, and Brandon and Brock Sokevitz; and one brother, Jerry Miller of North Carolina.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Grandal Miller of Alaska.
Friends may call on Monday, April 8, 2013 at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, from 5-8 PM and on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from Noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 PM. Pastor Donald Gallion will be officiating.
Burial will be held at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery in Willard.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either the Calvary Baptist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
