Donald R Blevins, age 72, of Norwalk, passed away Wednesday morning, March 20, 2013 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
He was born November 7, 1940 in Harold, Kentucky to the late Orville and Anna (Akers) Blevins.
He was a member of the Freedom Christian Fellowship Church in Norwalk, American Legion, and VFW. He served in the US Army 3rd Armor Division. Don was a gifted artist, gardener, lover of music and friend to many. He enjoyed talking to his many family and friends from all over the country. Don was also a dedicated Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed watching Kentucky Basketball. As he wished, Don enhanced lives as a Life Donor.
He is survived by his very special friend, Rose Harp; daughter, Patricia (Robert) Camacho of Scottsdale, AZ; sons, Lance Blevins of Virginia Beach, Va., Brian (Jessica) Blevins of Vienna, VA, Christopher (Meena) Blevins of Richmond, KY, and Graig (Danielle) Blevins of Woodbury, NJ; sisters, Sue Staschke and Joyce Chaffins; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Martha "Marge" Blevins in 2007; his son, Lance Corporal Reynold Blevins in 1983; his daughter, Carol Ann Blevins in infancy; and his brother, Charles Blevins.
Friends may call from 6-9 P.M. Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk. A funeral service will be Saturday at 12:30 P.M. in the funeral home. Pastor Roy Harless will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
