Thomas D. Berry, 76, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Monday, March 4, 2013, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio.

He was born August 15, 1936 in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late Dean L. and Lucille B. (Gerber) Berry and was a lifelong area resident.

Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He was a member, 5 time Past Exalter Ruler, former District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler, and Elk of the Year 1991-1992, of Norwalk Elks Lodge #730. As the former Chairman of the Elks National Foundation, Tom was proud to have exceeded the expected contribution to the foundation for the Norwalk Club. He was the co-owner of Tom and Jakes Glass Bar, Norwalk, Ohio.

Tom enjoyed playing golf, cards, bowling, crossword puzzles, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lucille "Lucy" A. (Bolding) Berry, Norwalk, Ohio, by his sons and daughters in law, Sean M. and Amy Berry of Norwalk, Ohio, and Dean M. and Dalene Berry of Norwalk, Ohio, by his grandchildren, Larissa, Alaina, Ian, Brenna, Anessa, Sela, Mara, Michael, and Keagan, and by his sister and brother in law Sandra and Charles "Tom" Hall of Norwalk, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no public visitation. The family will received friends and relatives on Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 45 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Arrangements are being handled by Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St., Norwalk, Ohio.
