Margaret Phillips

Margaret Phillips, 94, of Willard passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013 at The Willows at Willard.

She was born June 9, 1918 in Swanton, Ohio, the daughter of Aloysius and Mary (Windau) Camp. She married Oliver J. "O.J." Phillips on June 28, 1941 in Monroeville who preceded her in death in 2007.

Margaret was a 1936 graduate of Monroeville High School. She worked at Paul's Market in Monroeville, while O.J. served his country during World War II. After he returned, she became a full-time housewife. She served as a 4-H advisor for 25 years. She was a member of the former St. Sebastian's Church in Bismark, where she was very active in the Altar Rosary and St. Ann's Study Club. She was also a member of the Friendly Neighbors club. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and was known to be the "party planner." She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Rick Phillips of Willard; daughters: Carol Daniel of Willard, Elaine (Danny) Young of Willard, Connie (Steve) Carpenter of Fremont; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers: Kenneth Camp and Fr. Alfred Camp; sisters: Sr. Mary Magdaleva, Marilyn Pennington, and Sr. Ethel Mary.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Ruth Heyman, Harold Camp, Theresa Graham, and Robert Camp; a son-in-law, Ray Daniel; daughter-in-law, Nancy Phillips; and grandson, David Young.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue where the Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m.. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gaspar del Bufalo Church, 16209 E. County Road 46, Bellevue, Ohio 44811. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Bismark.
