Evelyn Mae Boehler, 84, of Monroeville , passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Gaymont Nursing Center, Norwalk, following a lengthy illness.
Evelyn was born May 11, 1928 in Milan, Ohio to the late Edward & Madeline (Smith) Romell.
She was a graduate of Milan High School and lived in the area all her life. She was a homemaker and worked at various places throughout her life. She was an avid walker, especially at the beach where she loved to go shelling. Evelyn loved traveling to Colorado, working in the garden and most of all, spending time with her family. She will be missed deeply and thought of often. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Monroeville.
Evelyn is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Richard Boehler, four children: Linda (Donald) Wangler of Monroeville, Sally (Jeff) Arnold of Windsor, Colorado, Brian Boehler of Norwalk, and Bradley (Tammy) Boehler of Windsor, Colorado, grandchildren: Kristen Cameron of Norwalk, Darren Wangler of Monroeville, Derek Arnold of Bozeman, Montana, Danelle Arnold of Denver, Colorado, Caleb Boehler of Windsor, Colorado, and Michaela Boehler of Windsor, Colorado, great grandchildren: Caitlen, Austin, Gavin and Macen, five brothers: Robert (Lou) Romell of Milan, Richard (Maryanne) Romell of Huron, Harold (Kathy) Romell of Norwalk, Tom (Patty) Romell of Norwalk, and Jim Romell of Sandusky, sister-in-law: Bobbi Romell and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son: Bruce Boehler, sisters: Catherine Weilnau and Madeline Gwirtz, brothers: John Romell and Donald Romell.
Friends may call from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 21, 2013 in the Trinity Lutheran Church, 121 W. Broad Street, Monroeville. The Rev. Dr. Amy Little will officiate.
