NORWALK, Ohio — Arden D. Kerby, 82, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Saturday, October 27, 2012 in his home.

He was born March 23, 1930 in Sutton, West Virginia to the late Lawrence and Nela Lou (James) Kerby and came to this area in 1952 from Grantsville, West Virginia. Arden retired in 1992 from the Crown Steel Company in Lorain, Ohio. He enjoyed gardening and tinkering.

Arden is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Frame) Kerby of Norwalk, Ohio and by his children, Judith Ann and Olin Taylor of Bakersville, North Carolina, David and Brenda Kerby of Florence, Ohio, Brent Kerby of Walhonding, Ohio, Crystal L. and Richard Brewer of Grantsville, West Virginia, Aaron and Karen Kerby of Willard, Ohio, and Stephen and Darlene Kerby of Greenwich, Ohio, 21 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Garrett Kerby of Mt. Zion, West Virginia and by his sister, Arleta Frame of Kilgore, Texas.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, John Paul Kerby in 1970, and by his brothers, Denver, Donald, and Lawrence Kerby.

Friends may call on Tuesday, October 30,2012 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio.
