Gary Lee "Bid" Biddinger, 65, of Greenwich, died Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born July 15, 1947, in Vallejo, California.
Gary graduated from Mapleton High School in 1965.
He served eight years in the United States Navy and was stationed in the Mediterranean, on the USS Saratoga. He worked for TRE Services until his retirement in 2009.
Gary was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craft Cleveland #5, New London American Legion Broome-Wood Post 292, New London United Methodist Church. He was active with Ages and Stages Sunday School Class and Monday Night Bible Study Class.
He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, the Cleveland Brown's and NASCAR. Gary loved his music. He traveled all over the world with his bricklaying.
Survived by his wife of 15 years, Gloria (Hanville); children, Brandy (Jack) Barone of Polk, Scott Biddinger of Indiana and Dustin Hunter of Sandusky, Cassie (Gary) Hurst of Norwalk; Kim (Chris) Moore of New London and Josh Hall of Ft. Meyers, Florida; 8 grandchildren; mother; Helen Biddinger of Nova and brother, Jerry Biddinger of South Amherst. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Harold Biddinger.
Gary's family will greet friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the New London United Methodist Church, 58 E. Main St., New London with Pastor Ben Black officiating. Burial will follow in Nova Cemetery with military rites.
