Olray Jones, 72, Norwalk, died on Sunday, October 7, 2012, as a result of an automobile accident.

He was born on November 14, 1939 in Jacobs, Kentucky, to the late Allie and Zada (Gilliam) Jones.

Olray was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was a retired employee of Pepperidge Farms.

He enjoyed going fishing, discussing politics, writing letters, and loving his dogs.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Renate G. (Eisner) Jones, married February 4, 1960; daughters, Tina (Arnie) Ruffing and Annie (Jerry) Jones; son, Mike Jones; grandchildren, Alexis Ringlein, Joey Ringlein, Jessica Jones, Dakota Jones, Tiffany Ruffing, Cheyanna Ruffing, and Jessie Ruffing; great-grandchildren, Jayce and Paxton; sister, Corrinne (Alfred) Oney; brothers, C.L. Jones and Robert Jones; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Thurman Jones, Donald Jones, Emmitt Jones, Imogene Wright, Ruth Jones, and Danny in infancy; best friends, Cotton, Big Foots, and Cloie.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at 11 A.M. in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk. Military honors will be held. Memorial contribution s may be made to the family.
