Sylvia Lee Kozel, 76, of New London died Friday, August 24, 2012 at her home.
She was born on October 14, 1935 in Lodi to the late Alton and Ruth (nee Skaggs) Sprinkle.
Sylvia was a talented seamstress. She was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in New London and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Sylvia was also a member of the Lions Club.
Most of all, she will be remembered as a devoted mother and wife who deeply loved and cared for her family.
Sylvia is survived by her husband of 54 years Robert Kozel; her children, Holly A. Wood of Columbus, Debora Kozel of Sycamore, Robert (Michelle) Kozel Jr. of Johnstown, Mary (Richard) Gaunt of Columbus, Cathy (Bret) Holzwart of Columbus NE, Steve (Amy) Kozel of Upper Sandusky, Karen Clark and Brenda Kozel both of Columbus, and Sharon Kozel of Wooster; 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She is also survived by her Brother Cliton Sprinkle of GA. Sylvia was preceded in death by a brother Myron, her son Michael and daughter Patricia.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7:45 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 18 Park Ave., New London, 44851, Rev. Doug Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, New London.
