Larry Dean Milliman, 51, of Norwalk, died suddenly Sunday morning, Aug. 19 in his home.
He was born Nov. 6, 1960 at Fisher-Titus hospital in Norwalk.
Larry worked as a welder at Magic Chef in Clyde. He later worked at Gardner's Supervalu in Norwalk and volunteered at the Salvation Army in Norwalk.
His hobbies included fishing, painting and gardening. He also had a great love for God and the Bible. He enjoyed having a Bible study with his wife and another couple each week at the reservoir.
Larry was known as a selfless, caring, generous and giving soul who helped anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by his relatives, friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife, Susan J. (Horne) Milliman of Norwalk; a daughter, Amy Lykins of Norwalk; a stepdaughter, Jenna Terlizzi of Wakeman; a stepson, Joe Terlizzi of Maple Heights; biological mother, Mable Viars of Norwalk; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda J. (Viars) and Michael A. Perry of New Haven; a brother, James Viars of Norwalk; a niece, Mary M. (Figley) Clyde of Florida; a nephew and his wife, Robert A. and Amy Figley of Norwalk; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Donald and Kay Milliman.
A celebration of life service will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 at Shelter 4 at the Norwalk reservoir.
