NEW LONDON -- Emma Jean White, age 71, of New London, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 after a short illness.
She was born March 31, 1941 in New London, daughter of the late Luther and Emma Helen (powers) Randleman. She moved back to New London in the early 70s. Her primary focus in life was her Love for her family. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. She had a heart of gold. She was a kind loving and caring person. Her smile and gracious personality greeted you the minute you saw her.
Emma Jean is survived by a son, Doug (Juanita) Wilcoxen of Norwalk and daughter, Renee Saunders of Charlotte, North Carolina, Grandchildren Lindsay (Brent) Chaney of Columbus, Jessica Saunders of North Carolina, Malea Wilcoxen of Norwalk, Nikki Robinson of Norwalk & Brittany Robinson of Sandusky, & 4 Great- Grandchildren; her siblings, Doug (Joyce) Randleman of Oberlin, Michael Randleman, Jerry (Dianne) Randleman, Terry (Jane) Randleman, Hazel (Raymond) Caldwell and Beverly White all of New London as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Kirsten Saunders; siblings, James, William, Robert, Frank and Allen Randleman, Patty Anderson and Mary Ann Russell.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, August 7 from 4-8 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St, New London, where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Elder Steve Robinson and Pastor Ben Black officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery, New London.
