NORWALK — William Edward “Bill” Nestor, 79, of Norwalk, died peacefully Tuesday in Twilight Gardens Home.

He was born May 4, 1928 in New London to the late Francis E. and Elizabeth Marie “Bessie” (Day) Nestor.

He lived most of his years in Clarksfield where he attended Clarksfield Elementary and New London High Schools, graduating from New London High in 1947.

He was a farmer and livestock transporter. He communed with Jesus with fellow communicants at St. Mary Catholic Church in Wakeman, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in New London and St. Paul Catholic Church in Norwalk, as well as in his personal life.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Darlaine Nestor of Norwalk and Paul and Marie Nestor of Zanesville; a sister-in-law, Margaret Nestor of New London; 13 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Nestor; maternal grandparents, Albert and Florence (Jones) Day; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Mary (Langdon) Nestor.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, where prayer services will be held at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St., Norwalk with the Rev. Frank Kehres officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Wakeman.

Memorial gifts may be sent to the Norwalk Senior Center, where Nestor found much enjoyment.
