NORWALK — Thelma Elizabeth Thomas, 88, formerly of Clarksfield, died Thursday at Gaymont Nursing Center, Norwalk.
She was born Aug. 11, 1919 in Wakeman, daughter of the late Leo B. and Merty (Bowerize) Keith.
She had been a lifelong resident of the Wakeman and Clarksfield areas. She had lived in Venus, Fla. for 22 years after retiring in 1976. She worked with her husband on their farm. She also had worked for several years at C.E. Ward Co. and at Kent Sporting Goods, both of New London.
She loved to sew, bake and spend time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Erbacher of Cleveland and Donna Yassanye of Atlanta, Ga.; sons, William D. Thomas of New London and Dennis L. Thomas of Norwalk; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Thomas in 2003; and brothers, Rolland and Burton Keith.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London is in charge of arrangements.
