SANDUSKY — Shelby Ann Adams, 71, of Monroeville, died Tuesday at Stein Hospice Care Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 28, 1936, in Bellevue, the daughter of the late Raymond and Thressa (Beatty) Baughman. She was a 1954 graduate of Milan High School, and attended Southeastern Bible College in Florida. She retired from BancOne in 1996. She was a member of Willard First Assembly of God, where she was active in many church groups, including Bible study.
She enjoyed her morning walks, gardening, knitting and making her loved ones afghans. She especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Hobert E. Adams, whom she married Aug. 28, 1954; daughters, Deborah Adams of Sandusky and Diane (Tony) Moore of Milan; sons and daughters-in-law, Donald (Gidget) of Milan and Douglas (Debbie) of Monroeville; several grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Groff Funeral Home, Milan Chapel, 1 S. Main St., Milan. where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. David Snyder of Calvary Temple officiating. Burial will follow in Bloomingville Cemetery.
