MONROEVILLE — Rose Marie (Pietrafase) Berger, 81, of Bunnell, Fla. and formerly of Monroeville, died unexpectedly Monday at her residence.
She was born Sept. 12, 1926 in Dunmore, Pa. to Joseph and Carmella Pietrafase.
She married Snowden Berger on June 3, 1950, and he preceded her in death on June 4, 1999.
She retired from the General Electric Lamp Plant in Bellevue in 1986.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, both of Monroeville, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bunnell and the Norwalk Ohio Women of the Moose No. 239.
She was an avid bingo player, loved playing cards and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Sharon Berger of Norwalk and James and Kathy Berger of Huron; daughters amd son-in-law, Jeannie and Terry Hartley of Monroeville and Mary Lou Berger of Norwalk; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Andrew Huda and Ann and Pat Lacertoso, all of Dunmore, Pa.; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph and William Pietrafase.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel St., with the Rev. Kenneth J. Lill officiating.
Entombment will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
