NORWALK — Ronald W. Allen, 65, of Norwalk died Tuesday at his home following a two-year battle with cancer.
He was born in Norwalk to the late Donald and Norma (nee Huestis) Allen.
He spent most of life in the Fitchville and Wakeman areas.
He worked at the former Ohio Body Manufacturing and for Cleveland City Forge in Wellington.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Lucy (Deeley) Allen; daughters, Dawn Allen of Sandusky, Ginger (Roderick) Swopes of Sandusky, and Cora (John) Pritt of Norwalk; sons, Scot (Ginger) Allen of Denver, and Jerald “Bear” Allen of Huron; eight grandchildren; and a brother, Terry Allen of Greenwich.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Allen, in 1998.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 8 p.m. Thursday at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London.
