TOWANDA, Pa. — Richard Martin Foster died June 7, 2008 at home. He was born a twin on June 26, 1932 in Chicago, Ill. He moved to Ohio in 1948 where he attended school in North Fairfield. He later graduated from Monroeville in 1952.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1956, stationed in Hawaii. He studied photography and enjoyed art, traveling, bingo and poker. He was retired from Fanny Farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife Winifred Vanderpool Foster, parents, Julia and Fred Jamison and his father Miles Foster, his brothers Bernard and Allen Foster.
He is survived by his sister, Cecelia Roth, Norwalk, OH, a niece, Robin Leimbach, nephews Christopher Roth, Anthony (Jill) Roth, and Robert (Mary) Roth; great nieces, Ashley , Tara, and Tori Roth; great nephews, Jeremy and Jonathan Leimbach, Travis, Tyler, Trenton and Connor Roth; great great niece Lia Leimbach. He is also survived by his Towanda, Pa family; Terry and Janise Vanderpool with whom he resided, Nancy and Brad Crane and Bonnie and Fred Vanderpool.
Funeral was held today at 11 a.m. at Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, PA. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Towanda. Visitation was held Tuesday from 7 – 9 p.m.
