MONROEVILLE — Mildred "Milly" Tyler, 92, of Monroeville, died Monday in Fisher-Titus Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born April 19, 1915 in Colorado Springs, Colo., and was a graduate of St. Paul Catholic High School in Norwalk. She was employed by Maple City Ice and Monroeville Library, and had more than 6,000 hours of volunteer work at the Norwalk Memorial Home. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Monroeville, and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Kaple of Medina; sons Charles "RaeMona" Tyler of Sommerset, Ky., George "Diann" Tyler of Medina and James "Karen" Tyler of N. Las Vegas, Nev.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and close friends Jill, Mike, Chris, and Bob.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Tyler in 1986; and sisters Pauline in infancy and Sister Mary Placida, SND.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe St., Monroeville.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 66 Chapel St., Monroeville with the Rev. Kenneth J. Lill officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
