Mary “Ma” L. Ruffing, 95, of Prairie Rd. Bellevue, passed away Wednesday May 14, 2008 in The Bellevue Hospital. She was born on March 24, 1913 in Bellevue the daughter of the late John and Cora (Thompson) Skelley. She married Paul Ruffing on November 15, 1937 in Immaculate Conception Church.
Mary was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, The Altar Rosary Society, the Twins Club and lived with a loving devotion for her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Bill (Janice) Ruffing of Bellevue; 7 daughters, Mary Alice (Ron) Raifsnider, Jane Wobser, Maureen (Ed) Phillips, Barbara (Roy) Smith, Helen Musser, all of Bellevue, Joan Sands of Milan and Margaret (Steve) Musser of Fremont; 22 grandchildren; 31 Great grandchildren; and 2 great – great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by sons Paul and Bobby, brothers, Bill and Jim Skelley, 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 with a rosary service at 3:30 p.m. in Foos and Foos Funeral Service; 151 Yorkshire Place; Bellevue. A funeral mass officiated by the Very Reverend Father Keith Stripe will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in Immaculate Conception Church, 231 East Center Street, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
