SANDUSKY — Marino Graziani, 78, Sandusky, was called Home to be with the Lord early Friday morning in Firelands Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Born in San Marino, Italy on December 9, 1929.  He came to Sandusky from Italy in 1948 and worked at the former Lyman Boat Company and then retired from General Motors after 30 years of service.

He was member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.  Marino was a member of the "Lamp Lighters" Band and played the accordion, banjo and guitar.  He belonged to the Musicians Union in Sandusky.

Marino enjoyed carpentry and woodworking.  He treasured the time he spent with his family and friends.

His wife of 58 years, Mary; his daughter, Julie (William) Stratton, Sandusky; two sons, David (Victoria) Graziani, Phoenix, Az and Michael (Linda) Graziani, Norwalk; seven grandchildren, Jerry, Jennifer, Jill and Jason Graziani, Brittany Stratton, Jacqueline and Joseph Graziani; his sister, Maria Benneditini, Detroit, MI and another sister residing in San Marino, Italy survive him.

Marino's parents, Peter and Louise (Filipucci) Graziani, one brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky.  Prayer service will be held at 7:30 P.M.  The body will lie in repose from 9:30 until 10:00 A.M. in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky  Father Patrick Rohen will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M.  Entombment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
