WILLARD — Kenneth H. Cox, 85, of Willard, died Tuesday in Roselawn Manor at Spencerville.

He was born July 23, 1922 in Willard to the late James Henry and Dallie (Stump) Cox.

He retired from the B&O Railroad after 42 years.

He was an Army veteran, serving during World War II.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Willard, and of the Willard American Legion. He was a life-long supporter of the Willard Athletic Boosters. He was an avid gardener, especially of his rose garden.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David (Linda) Cox of Fort Wayne, Ind.; his daughter and son-in-law, Judy (Steve) Johnson of Troy; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Cox on July 28, 1994; and three brothers; and a sister.  

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Ken Gifford officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
