NORWALK — Kathleen “Kitty” Joan Baker, 68, of Norwalk, died Sunday at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 22, 1939 in Sharpsville, Pa., the daughter of the late Thomas and Eva (Schweiss) Stanton.
She was a 1958 graduate of Norwalk High School, where she was a Truckerette. She worked for many years as a dispatcher for Huron County Services for the Aging, a receptionist for CAC of Norwalk and the Huron County Commissioners.
She was a Cleveland Indians fan and avid Bingo player.
She is survived by her sons, Clifford O. (Kimberly) Baker of Merrill, Wisc., Christopher (Tammy) Baker of White Plains, Md. and Buddy (Ann) Baker of Norwalk; six grandchildren and a step-grandson; sisters, Beverlee Stanton of Norwalk and Lou Ann (David) Collins of Monroeville; brothers, Thomas (Barbara) Stanton of Brookings, Ore., John (Mary) Stanton of Norwalk and William Lenhart of Monroeville; former husband, Rolland “Bud” Baker of Elyria; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Thomas A. Baker.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. The Rev. James McClain, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate. Private interment will be held at a later date.
