SANDUSKY - John “Brad” Rudolph, age 16, of Sandusky, died unexpectedly at his residence Sunday.

He was born Feb. 23, 1992 in Bellevue, OH, and would have been a junior at Margaretta High School. At Margaretta, he was involved with football, power lifting, track, varsity M, Spanish Club, and had academic honors.

He loved golf, hunting, fishing, playing videos with his friends, and attending church with his family.

He was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Sandusky.

Brad is survived by his parents David A. and Margaret (Templeton) Rudolph; two brothers Benjamin and Brock Rudolph; maternal grandparents James and Mary Ann Templeton of Castalia; paternal grandparents David R. and Barbara Rudolph of Castalia; paternal great grandmother Mildred Rudolph of Sandusky; aunts and uncles Ruthann (Templeton) and Barry Kain and their children Shannon, Patrick, and Jay of Kettering, OH, Jim and Debbie Templeton and their children Jimmy and Jacob of Troy, OH, Tammy (Rudolph) and Ken Clonch and their children Samantha and Kyle of Sandusky, OH, Scott and Janean Rudolph and their children Hannah and Karlie of Norwalk, OH, and Laura (Templeton) and Eric Alkire and their children Glen and Katie of Bellevue, OH; and several great aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents James and Genevieve Crosser and Ralph and Bessie Templeton; paternal great grandfather Allen Rudolph and paternal great grandparents Glenn and Caroline Clark.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-9 P.M. Wednesday in the Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. A prayer service will be held at 9:15 A.M. Thursday in the funeral home, followed by a 10 A.M. Mass in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Philip Feltman will officiate.

Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
