NEW LONDON — Joellen Martin Lomonaco, 79, died Tuesday at Hillside Acres in Willard.
She was born April 9, 1928 in Weeksbury, Ky., daughter of Carl and Mable Straughn Corbin.
She moved to New London in 1949, to Rockport, Texas in 1994, back to the New London area in 2004 and had been at Hillside Acres for the past three years.
She was a homemaker and had worked at the former Fannie Farmer Candy Co. of Norwalk and the former C.E. Ward Co. of New London. She had also worked at Kent Sporting Goods of New London.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Marilyn (Stan) Franklin of New London, Sandy (David) Gross and Sue (Bob) Mott all of Las Vegas, Annette Martin of New London, Margaret (Kurt) Wargo of Nova, Kim (Ed) Sines of New London, Kenny (Nancy) Martin of Brookesmith, Texas, Dave Martin of Ashland and Hallard (Missy) Martin of Ocala, Fla.; 16 grandchildren, 26 Great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; a sister, Marty Garcia of Florida; a brother, Johny Corbin of Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William “Mato” Martin in 1993; second husband, Vincent Lomonaco in 2005; a son, Tommy Martin in 1989; sisters, Mary Marrett, Rose Anne May, Robin Gardner; and her brother, David Corbin.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Eastman Funeral Home in New Lond, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with Ed Hamilton officiating.
Burial will follow in Ashland County Memorial Park.
