Fredericksburg, Va. — Jennifer Lynn Buron, 38, died Jan. 23 after a three-year battle with breast cancer.    

She was born to Robert and Lorraine Butler Sr. in Milan, Ohio on Nov. 25, 1969 as the youngest of seven children.

She served on the Queen’s Court for the Milan Melon Festival in 1986. She was both First Runner-up and Miss Congeniality. She was active in band and cheerleading during her school days at Edison High School in Milan. She graduated in 1987.

She attended college at Ohio State University in Columbus where she joined the Junior League and served on the board until moving out of state a year ago.

While attending college, she met Carlos Buron, her husband of more than nine years. They married June 13, 1998 and made their home in Columbus until she received her master’s degree in business in 2002. They moved to Toledo where they were delightfully joined by Christian Antonio, 6, and Sophia Lorraine, 4, and their golden lab, Sabastian. The family moved to Fredericksburg, Va. in the spring of 2007.

She is survived by her parents, Robert and Lorraine Butler Sr. of Foley, Ala.; a brother, Robert Butler Jr. (Jody) of Sandusky, Ohio; five sisters, Barbara Butler Bores of Castro Valley, Calif., Joan Knallay (Edward) of Milan, Carol Dalton (Bob) and Sharon Mellon, both of Crestwood, Ky., and Shelly Lindecamp (Chuck) of Milan; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mass was held at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church of Fredericksburg, Va., where she was a member.

Interment was held in St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery near the family cabin in Corry, Pa.
