WILLARD — Hazel Madeline Heisler, 89, of Willard, and more recently of Clyde, died Tuesday in McAllen Medical Center in McAllen, Texas.

She was born Feb. 7, 1919 in Willard to the late Charles M. Blinzley and Ruby (Sherman) Cross.  She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Willard. 

She retired as a secretary/accountant from Pioneer Rubber Co. She was a former volunteer for the first-grade Richmond Elementary School and a former member of the Mohican Valley Airstream Club. One of her greatest joys was following the activities of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Richard Heisler of Port Clinton; daughters, Cyndi (Ken) Shoup of Willard, Karen (Joe) Sawyer of Clyde and Deanne (K.F. "Bud") Trill of Palm Harbor, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell K. Heisler, on Nov. 28, 1998; her parents; brothers, Robert and Donald Blinzley; a sister, Nellie Jane Kegley Sampson; and a nephew, Robert Blinzley, Jr.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Secor Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with the Revs. Gerhardt Gosnell and Brian Peltomaa officiating.

Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven.
