BELLEVUE — Eugene J. Hosang, 90, of Bellevue, died Monday at the Bellevue Hospital.
He was born Oct. 9, 1917 in Reed Township to the late A. J. and Anne (Miller) Hosang. He attended the Reed School and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Bellevue.
He was a member of the Bellevue Eagles and the Bellevue Elks, the National Home Builders and the Ohio Home Builders Association.
He had been a building contractor, owning and operating Hosang Construction Co. for many years.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Hosang and Bernadine (William) Geiger, both of Norwalk; his godson, Eugene (Mary Ann) Rospert, Huron and special friends, Linda (Ray) Parsons, Bellevue and William (Val) Maygar, Bellevue, in addition to many nieces and nephews.
In January 1949, he married the former Rose Mary Young and they were married for 41 years, prior to her death in 1990.
He also was preceded in death by his sisters, Lucille Willoughby and Pauline Rospert and brothers, Art Hosang and Fred C. Hosang.
The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Bellevue, with the Rev. Keith Stripe officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Bellevue VFW and the Bellevue American Legion in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellevue.
Arrangements are being handled by Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue.
