HURON — Esther F. (Arndt) Hoyman, 86, of Vermilion and formerly of Norwalk, died Tuesday at Mill Manor, Vermilion following a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 29, 1921 in Fremont, Wis. She was employed with Trans-Tec for 11 years, retiring in 1989, and owned and operated Silver Beach Cottages.
She was a member of the United Congregational Church of Christ in Vermilion. She enjoyed reading and crocheting.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Konery of Vermilion and Marilyn “Sally” (Michael) Roberts of Norwalk; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Stroschein and Vivian Arndt, both of Wisconsin; and a brother, Robert Arndt, also of Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest W. Hoyman, in 1982; her parents, Walter Bernard and Helena (Schiessor) Arndt; daughter, Arlene Alassaf; a son, Thomas Hoyman; two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 2 p.m. Thursday at Meadow Green Memorial Park Mausoleum, 2606 Bogart Road, Huron with the Rev. Joan Skelley-Watts officiating.
