SANDUSKY — Elsie (Mann) Bridges, 69 of Sandusky, died Wednesday at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.
She was born July 28, 1938 in Dante, Va., daughter of the late Oliver David and Rhoda (Manuel) Mann, Sr. She was raised in Kentucky and moved to Willard in 1950. She had resided in Sandusky with her daughter and son-in-law the past five years.
She was a member of the Church of God in Jesus’ Name, Plymouth.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Michael Dix of Sandusky; brother-in-law, Edwin Zacharias of Florida; several special grandchildren in Florida; sisters, Shelby (Thurman) Tuttle and Joan (Randy) Devine, all of Florida; brothers, Oliver (Cleda) Mann of Florida and A.C. (Virginia) Mann of West Virginia; nieces and nephews, several she helped raise and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Orville Bridges in 2006; a brother, Laton Mann; and sisters, Maxine Zacharias and Nora Mae McCoy.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Church of God in Jesus’ Name, 4728 Mills Rd., Plymouth, where an evening service will be held. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Church with A.C. Mann officiating.
Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven.
