COLUMBUS — Dorothy “Dotty” Irene Coburn, 79, of Willard, died Monday at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.
She was born Aug. 29, 1928 in Akron to the late George C. and Erma A. (Rothman) Rager, and had lived most of her life in Willard.
She retired as a secretary from the Pioneer Rubber Co. and MAPA in Willard, after 40 years of service.
She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Willard and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed the craft of needle point, reading and most of all her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” R. Coburn, whom she married Sept. 17, 1947; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul R. and Suzie Coburn of Newburgh, Ind.; daughter and son-in-law, Pauline R. and Donald Saul of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents George C. and Erma A. (Rothman) Rager and an infant grandson, Paul Coburn Jr. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Doug Winner officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Willard.
