NORWALK — Chester O. Baker, 77, of Norwalk, died Saturday evening at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk.
He was born July 9, 1930 in Plymouth. He served in the U.S. Army from 1948 until 1952 as a sergeant during the Korean War.
He lived in Plymouth for many years, and moved to Norwalk while he was employed at New Departure in Sandusky for 42 years.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Geraldine J. (Ramsey) (Harrington) Baker of Norwalk; and sons, Michael A. Baker of Norwalk and Donald W. Harrington Jr. of Norwalk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Baker and Bertha Mae (Kimmel) (Baker) Mills; and a brother, Dale Baker.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk.
A graveside service with military honors will take place at 2 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Bellevue.
