WAKEMAN - Charles L. Kerr, 71, of Wakeman, died Thursday, May 15, 2008 in the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born April 19, 1937 in Green County, Pennsylvania to the late Ruben and Juanita (O'Duffy) Kerr and came to this area in 1980 from Lorain, Ohio. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from the Ford Motor Company, Lorain, Ohio with 37 years of service. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Freedom Nation Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, movie, hunting, and the T.V. Guide crossword puzzle. He is survived by his son, Patrick L. Kerr of Norwalk and by his daughters, Kimberly Kay and Jesse Huerta of Cullman, Alabama and Carol L. Kerr and Billy Okes of Wakeman, Ohio and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Billy Kerr of Lorain, Ohio and by his sisters and brothers in law, Ruby and Daniel Rapchak of Olmstead Township, Ohio and Ruth Clark of Umatilla, Florida. He was preceded in death by his brothers, David Kerr and John Henry Kerr and by his sisters, Juanita Hall and Violet Jean Busby. OBERLIN Phyllis Mae (Sparr) Langston, 70, of Oberlin, died Saturday.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Langston; as well as four children, 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters;and a brother.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call today at Garland-Misencik Funeral Home in Amherst. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.

Eleanor Mary Kirkwood (96) of Willard, died at 9:02 A. M. Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at her home. She was born October 20, 1911 in Willard to the late Charles Morgan and Leara Lillian (Meyer) Kirkwood. She spent her entire life in the same residence.

Miss Kirkwood is survived by cousins: Loren and Carol Hillis of Willard and Donal Boughton of North Fairfield.

Private Graveside services were held at the Centerton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made the Huron County Humane Society through the funeral home. The staff of the Lindsey-Kocher Funeral Service, 323 Myrtle Ave, Willard assisted the family with arrangements.
