WILLARD — Billy Ray “Robbie” Robinson, 74, of Willard, died Saturday at Willard Mercy Hospital.

He was born Nov. 28, 1933 in Floyd County, Ky. to the late Mae (Robinson) Spencer. He retired from Ford Motor Company in Sandusky after 38 years.

He was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Shelby and a Plymouth - Shelby Mason.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to church, gardening, running his vegetable and fruit stand, and spending time with his family.  

He is survived by his wife, Linda Robinson, whom he wed May 30, 1953; children, Barbara (Kirby) Bailey, Terry (Pat) Robinson, Rita (Bob) Dove and Belinda Robinson, all of Willard; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Cooper of Pennsylvania, Brinda Usry of Florida, and Linda (Rick) Fields of Elyria; and a special friend, Bernie Smith of Norwalk.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mae Spencer; his sister, Jackie Slone; step-father, Malcolm Spencer; brothers in-law, Gary Cooper and Michael Ursy; nephew, David Slone; and great-granddaughter, Hannah Marie Sallee-Riley.  

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where services will be held at 8 p.m. Friends also may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Freewill Baptist Church in Shelby, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Herman Copley officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
