WAKEMAN — Alfreda B. Jackson, age 85, of Wakeman, died Wednesday morning at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. She was born on May 12, 1923 in Issac’s Creek, WV and had lived in the Wakeman area for 57 years.
She worked at NACS in Oberlin for 15 years.
She loved flowers and nature.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years Rollin Jackson, daughters Sherry (Jospeh) Creech, of Trenton, FL, Jennifer (Tracy) Haslage, of Vermilion, a son Ronald (Terry) Jackson, of Wakeman, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three sisters Wilma Julia Hoover, of WV, Elizabeth Lea (Richard) Gilbert, of FL, Shirley Ann (Edgar) McIntyre, of SC, a brother Donnie Ray Evans, of FL, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Esther Jackson, age 105, of Norwalk.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Bly (Bailey) Evans, five sisters and three brothers.
Friends and family are invited to Sterk’s Restaurant in Wakeman on Sunday June 15, 2008 from 2:30 to 4:30 for a time of rememberance.
Services are being handled by the Morman Funeral Home, Wakeman.
