NORWALK - Wilma J. Collier, 67, of Norwalk, died Thursday morning at her residence in Norwalk.

She was born Nov. 20, 1939 in Norwalk and was a 1957 graduate of St. Paul High School.

She worked over 40 years for the Norwalk Furniture Corporation and retired in 1998 as Human Resources Manager. She was an active member of St. Paul Catholic Church, St. Paul Alumni Association and St. Paul Booster Club. She enjoyed spending time with her extended family, golfing, gardening and playing cards.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Martha Collier of Bellevue; sisters and brother-in-law, Delores Wheeler of Norwalk and Mary and Robert Stein of Milan; an aunt, Sister Leonette Kramer, Sisters of St. Joseph; eight nieces, 10 nephews and 39 great nieces and nephews and two great-great-nieces; and many special friends and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William "Gene" Collier and Helen (Kramer) Collier; and a brother-in-law, Donald Wheeler.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk, where a wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Frank Kehres, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
