VERMILION William Levi "Bud" Sibert, 75, of Vermilion, died early Thursday morning at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 15, 1932 in Kentucky and had been employed with the Ohio Truck Plant for more than 25-years. He was an Army veteran, serving in the Korean War, and a life member of V.F.W. Post 2529. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and lived life to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Brewer) Sibert, whom he married Nov. 10, 1957; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Ann and Stephen Bartko of Huron, Darlene and James Harris of Texas, and Marlene Sengstock of Sandusky; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Ethel Mae Jackson of Kentucky, Betty Ealy of Bellevue, Lola Finley of Sandusky, Judy Finley of Castalia, and Elizabeth Davidson of Norwalk; and brothers, Albert Sibert of Sandusky, Tim Sibert of Berlin Heights, Tommy Sibert of Castalia, and Terry Sibert of Huron.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. and Florence (Lewis) Sibert.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Groff Funeral Home, 1 South Main St., Milan, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Jim Gregory of the Fellowship Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by the Army.
