NORWALK William I. "Bill" Garman, 44, of Norwalk, died early Monday morning in Norwalk.

He was born Oct. 11, 1962 in Bellevue. He was a graduate of Bellevue High School.

He was a veteran of the Marine Corp. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post No. 447, Plymouth, the Ohio Militia Military Reserves and a Life Scout with the Boy Scouts of American in Bellevue. He enjoyed camping, hiking, traveling, Niagara Falls. He also liked military, car and history museums. He liked to read military history, especially Civil War.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Annette (Stimson) Garman of Norwalk; his children, Dale, Cecilia and Evelyn Garman of Norwalk; parents, Dale E. and Linda L. (Gilbert) Garman of Bellevue; brothers and sisters-in-law, Timothy and Denise Garman of Bellevue and Benjamin and Jami Garman of Monroe, Mich.; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Donnora and Kathryn Garman.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Bob Hudberg will officiate. Burial will follow in Seybert Cemetery.
