WILLARD Virginia Lee Salyer, 62, of Willard, died Thursday night at Stein Hospice, Sandusky.
She was born May 6, 1944 in Prestonsburg, Ky. to the late Richard and Mae (Stevens) Gray.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Builders Church of God. She enjoyed spending time at church and spending time with her grandchildren. She spent her evenings reading her Bible.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Salyer, whom she married June 22, 1963; a son, Doyle Salyer of Willard; seven grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Betty) Gray of Texas and Timothy Gray of Kite, Ky.; sisters, Jeanette (Clarence) Mosley of Shelby, Janice Johnson of Fla., Margaret (Willie) Howell of Wheeling, Ky., Juanita (Ernie) Lafferty of Prestonsburg, Ky., Elizabeth (Boyd) Caudill of Sassafras, Ky. and Loretta Tenant of Stillwater, Minn.
She was preceded in death by a son, Earl Dean Salyer; daughter, Denise Ellen Salyer; and a grandson, Christopher Harrison.
Friends may call from noon Sunday until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Builders Church of God on Main Street. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Willard.
