NORWALK — Virginia I. Hipp, 80, of Norwalk, died Saturday afternoon at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She was born July 10, 1926 in Norwalk to the late Ira F. and Ada M. (Rollason) Dolbee and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a member and former Deacon of the Norwalk First Baptist Church and enjoyed baby-sitting her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janis K. and Terry Schnee of Norwalk; sons and daughter-in-law, Donald S. Inman of Porter, Texas and Christan F. and Melissa Hipp of Norwalk; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a brother, David R. Dolbee of Norwalk; and a sister, Kathryn Hagen-Penick of Hemet, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward G. Hipp in 1991; and a son, Scott E. Hipp in 2006.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon Tuesday at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Paul Lamb, pastor of Norwalk First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville.
