NORWALK Viola M. (Linder) Englert, 91, of Norwalk, died Saturday evening at Norwalk Memorial Home, after an extended illness.

She was born Jan. 2, 1916 in Havana and was a graduate of Milan High School. She moved to Norwalk in 1939.

She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.

She retired from the Faulhaber Company in Monroeville in 1975.

She was an avid bowler and was active with the Norwalk community concerts. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, baking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Donna Smith of Norwalk and Joyce and Wayne Moore of Mechanicsburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Edwin and Mary Lou Englert of Norwalk, Robert and Debora Englert of Milan and James and Peggy Englert of Milan; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Englert in 2003; brothers, Robert Linder, Frank Linder and John Linder; and her parents, Edwin and Victoria (Long) Linder.

There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Frank Kehres, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Norwalk.
