MONROEVILLE - Thomas M. Jordan, 90, of Monroeville and formerly of Castalia, died Saturday afternoon at his residence.
He was born Feb. 28, 1917 in Jamestown, Tenn., and was a 28-year employee of Ford Motor Co., retiring in 1979. He was a member of Sand Hill Freewill Baptist Church and the Fort Ogden First Baptist Church in Florida. He enjoyed fishing, coon hunting, and farming.
He is survived by his wife, the former Pamela Yonts; daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Darwin Moore of Clyde, Ruth and Alvin Banks of Fort Ogden, Fla., Judy and Leo Beier of Arcadia, Fla., Pat and Jerry Legg of Castalia, and Faye and Tom Gruelke of Sandusky; sons and daughters-in-law, Lewis and Brenda Jordan of Bellevue, and Bill and Mary Jordan of Willard; a stepson and his wife, Martin and Kelly Wilson of Sandusky; daughter-in-law Virginia Jordan of Sandusky; son-in-law Henry Miracle of Tennessee; 32 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sisters, Eva Jean Sink and Carrie Ruth Leisure; brothers, Charlie and Oscar Jordan; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nellie in 1989; a son, Roger Jordan; daughters, Etta Miracle and Vina Lee Jordan; grandsons, Robert Jordan and Jeff and Kevin Beier; and granddaughter Mary Lou Munk.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sand Hill Freewill Baptist Church, Mason Road, Sandusky. Pastor Garry Sorrell Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery.
