NORWALK Thomas E. Moehle Sr., 68, of Norwalk, died Monday morning at Twilight Gardens Home.
He was born Sept. 21, 1938 in Elyria to the late Edwin W. and Agnes (McArren) Moehle.
He was a veteran of the Arm,y serving in Germany and worked aboard Ore Ships on the Great Lakes for Cleveland Cliffs Inc. He was also a former employee of Leon Riley Excavating Co., drove school bus for Norwalk City Schools and St. Paul Catholic Schools, and also worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation. He enjoyed metal scrapping and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jeanine (Smith) Moehle of Norwalk; daughters, Pamela Reddix of Monroeville and Patricia Boetticher of Norwalk; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Kathy Moehle of Norwalk, Thomas E. Moehle Jr. and Michelle Lesch of Norwalk and James Moehle and Shelbi Curtis of Oswego Ill.; 20 grandchildren, three step grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren; a sister, Janet Skaggs of Fowlerville, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Moehle; and a stepsister, Betty Sykuta.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Meadowgreen Memorial Park, Bogart Road, Huron.
