NORWALK Theodore P. Brooks, 82, of Norwalk, died early Saturday morning in the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky.

He was born April 14, 1924 in Bronson Township, son of the late Parsons F. and Dorothea (Miller) Brooks, and was a lifelong area resident.

He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp., serving in World War II as a B24 Nose Gunner with 33 missions. He was a retired farmer.

He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. He was a former member of the Huron County Farm Bureau and had been a 4-H adviser for 15 years. He enjoyed gardening, welding and dart ball.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy L (Albright) Brooks of Norwalk; sons and daughters-in-law, Dean and Terri Brooks of North Olmsted and Daniel and Laura Brooks of Barberton; daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Thomas Ryan of Frankenmuth, Mich., Carolyn and Jerry Hedge of Holly Hill, S.C., Ann and Cliff Cannon of Norwalk and Sharon and Patrick Brown of Norwalk; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia Olcott of Norwalk.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Elizabeth Rice and Rachel Koch; and a brother, Karl Brooks.

Memorial services will take place at a later date.
