MELBOURNE, Fla. - Terry Tracy Tucker, 60, of Melbourne and formerly of Norwalk, Ohio, died Nov. 20, 2007 after a long illness.
He was born July 28, 1947 in Norwalk, grandson of the late C.E. Tucker, founder of Tucker Abstract Title Company in Norwalk.
He was a 1965 graduate of Norwalk High School where he was involved in the band. He then moved on to the Cleveland Institute of Music where he focused on his flute. He attended Bowling Green State University to further his studies and then performed in such venues as the Toledo Symphony as a flutist and assisted in conducting.
His greatest love was of flying. He was a captain in the commercial aviation industry.
Survivors include his wife, Corazon Tucker of Melbourne; mother, Katharine Tucker-VanMeter of Melbourne; brothers, Tom Tucker of Pleasanton, Calif. and Dennis Tucker of North Royalton; three daughters and a son; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul C. Tucker in 1975.
Following his wishes, no formal memorial service took place. A celebration of his life is being planned for late February in Melbourne,when the family will gather for his mother’s 94th birthday.
