FLORENCE TWP. — Terry L. Appeman, 58, of Florence Township, died Monday evening at Community Health Partners in Lorain.
He was born July 9, 1948 in Elyria, and had lived in Florence Township his whole life.
He graduated from Firelands High School in 1966 and received a bachelors degree in engineering from Cleveland State University. He had worked at Ridge Tool in Elyria and most recently at Lear-Romec in Elyria. He served on the Northern Ohio Rural Water Authority Board and was instrumental in getting water lines in Florence Township. He also served as secretary for a number of years on the Board. He loved farming, working in his garden and playing with his dog, Shadow.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Joann (Jenkins); a son, Chad of Norwalk; father, Raymond Appeman of Florence Township; a brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Patti Appeman of Florence Township; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Julia (Soviak) Appeman.
There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Florence Cemetery. The Revs. Paul Eaton and Wally Metter will officiate. Immediately following the service everyone is invited to Faith Hall at the Florence Congregational Church to pay their respects to the family.
