NORWALK - Ronald P. Orosz Sr., 61, of Norwalk, died Tuesday morning at the Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, after fighting a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born Nov. 7, 1945 in Elyria and lived most of his life in the Lorain and Amherst area.
He worked for 33 years at Lorain’s Ford Assembly Plant and retired in 1999 as a general supervisor in the maintenance department. He then worked as a Department Manager of the Maintenance Operation System for Mayflower Vehicle System – CVG until two months ago.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cynthia (Sheppard) Orosz of Norwalk; sons, Ronald Jr. of Orlando, Fla. and Ryan of Port Clinton; four grandsons; brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry Orosz of Wakeman, David Orosz of Amherst and Michael and Patty Orosz of Amherst; sisters and brother-in-law, Etta Pack of Amherst and Leah and Hank Williams of Berlin Heights; and other family members, Linda and Charles Wearsch of Amherst, Sandy and Chuck Brooks of North Ridgeville, Sue and David Lopez of Lorain and Dan Sheppard of Lakewood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Etta (Rockwell) Orosz; and a nephew, Jamie Orosz.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk. Private burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
